The history of Weidemann's development

The Weidemann brand represents over 60 years of development, engineering solutions and technology that has become the standard in its segment.

The company has a long and interesting history, which began in 1960 when brothers Oswald and Reinhold Weidemann founded Maschinenfabrik Weidemann KG in the German town of Diemelze-Flechtdorf. Initially, the company produced components and equipment for agriculture.

The first real breakthrough came in 1972, when the company invented the Hoftrac, a compact articulated loader that quickly replaced heavy manual labour on farms and became popular throughout Europe.

In the 1980s and 1990s, the model range was actively expanded with the development of wheeled and telescopic loaders for the agricultural sector and municipal services.

In 2005, the company was acquired by Wacker Construction Equipment AG (now Wacker Neuson SE), which further strengthened its production capacity and enabled it to enter new markets.

Today, Weidemann equipment is sold in more than 30 countries around the world, and the brand itself is synonymous with reliable, versatile, high-quality machines that help farms and businesses perform their daily tasks efficiently.
