Hundred Heroes Day: a day of remembrance and dedication.
On February
20, Ukraine marks the Day of the Heavenly Hundred Heroes, a day dedicated to
the memory of those who gave their lives on the Maidan during the Revolution of
Dignity. It is a day to honor those who have become a symbol of courage,
bravery and steadfastness in the struggle for freedom and dignity of the
Ukrainian people.
The Heavenly
Hundred is not just a numerical concept. Each name, each fate, each act of
heroism has its own meaning and greatness. These people stood up to defend the
ideals of freedom, dignity and justice, making the ultimate sacrifice for the
future of their country.
Today, we
honor their memory by not only expressing our gratitude for their great deeds,
but also by pledging to continue their work - the fight for rights and
freedoms, for a better future for our descendants.
May the
memory of the Heavenly Hundred's heroic deeds always be a reminder of what it
takes to defend the ideals of freedom and dignity. May this day strengthen our
