The first trial sowing of 2026: Strip-Till technology in action

On 6-7 April 2026, the Tekhno-Dvir team carried out the first sunflower demonstration sowing of the season in the Vinnytsia region, near the town of Tomashpil, at the ‘Zelena Dolyna’ agricultural complex.

The sowing was carried out using modern Strip-Till technology, employing a Czajkowski unit in combination with a Czajkowski PSP precision seed drill.

Field conditions and preparation

The previous crop was maize, harvested for silage back in the autumn. The field had not undergone any additional tillage, which allowed the effectiveness of the Strip-Till technology to be demonstrated to the fullest extent under real-world conditions.

What Strip-Till achieves in a single pass?

The Czajkowski unit allows a full range of field operations to be carried out in a single pass:

1. Deep tillage

Tilling to a depth of up to 35 cm with simultaneous row cleaning and turning of crop residues.

2. Localised fertiliser application

Application of fertiliser directly into the row to the full depth of tillage. Up to four types of fertiliser, both liquid and granular, can be applied simultaneously.

3. Precision seed sowing

The Czajkowski PSP seed drill ensures precise control of sowing depth and uniform seed placement for crops such as:

- sunflower

- maize

- soya

- rapeseed

- sugar beet

- peas and others.

Maximum efficiency – minimum resources.

The main advantage of the technology is resource optimisation:

- 1 tractor

- 1 sowing unit

- 1 operator

- a full cycle of operations in a single pass.

This significantly reduces fuel consumption, shortens the time taken to complete tasks and reduces the need for additional resources.

Modern agricultural production demands maximum efficiency. With high fuel and fertiliser costs and a shortage of skilled labour, it is important not just to carry out the work, but to achieve results.

Anyone can sow. But only those who use modern technologies and the right solutions can grow crops efficiently and make a profit.

The demonstration sowing in the Vinnytsia region has once again confirmed that Strip-Till technology, combined with Czajkowski machinery, is an effective tool for modern agribusiness.
