Czajkowski STK 400 – a single machine for a variety of crops
Czajkowski STK 400: a versatile machine for strip-till technology
Modern soil cultivation techniques are
increasingly focused on reducing the number of passes made by machinery, the
efficient use of fertilisers and the creation of optimal conditions for plant
growth. One solution for implementing strip-till technology is the CzajkowskiSTK 400.
This is a strip-till unit that combines soil
cultivation with fertiliser application, and when coupled with a seed drill
attachment, it also allows sowing to be carried out in a single pass.
One unit for various crops
One of the key features of the Czajkowski STK 400 is its ability to adapt to different crops and sowing patterns. Stepless
adjustment of the working sections’ positioning allows their position to be
changed according to the required row spacing.
As a result, the STK 400 can be used for
growing rapeseed, cereals, sugar beet, maize, sunflowers, soya and other
legumes.
Such versatility is particularly important for
farms whose crop rotation includes crops with different requirements for row
spacing and sowing techniques.
Key features of the Czajkowski STK 400
The machine is designed for strip tillage, with
the ability to adjust it to specific field conditions and the farm’s
requirements.
Key specifications:
- working depth – 20–35 cm;
- 4 to 9 working sections;
- twin-chamber hopper – 2 × 1,400 litres;
- capability to apply two types of fertiliser
simultaneously;
- tyre roller Ø 89 cm with an offset system;
- non-stop system for protecting working
components;
- minimum recommended tractor power for the STK
400 – from 180 k.s.
The combination of these features allows the
machine to be configured according to the crop, the cultivation plan and
specific field conditions.
Soil tillage, fertiliser application and sowing
Strip-Till technology involves tilling not the
entire field surface, but individual strips where the plants’ root systems will
subsequently develop. The inter-rows remain untilled, whilst crop residues are
left on the surface.
During operation, the Czajkowski STK 400 forms
a prepared strip and ensures that fertiliser is applied to the area where the
plant will grow.
The dual-chamber hopper, with a capacity of 2 ×
1,400 litres, allows for the use of two types of fertiliser, whilst the
application system enables nutrients to be placed directly into the tilled soil
profile.
When combined with a suitable seed drill
attachment, the process can be supplemented with sowing. In this way, strip
preparation, fertiliser application and sowing can be combined in a single
pass.
Protection of working parts and operational
stability
Field conditions can vary significantly even
within a single farm. Stones, compacted areas and other obstacles place
additional strain on the working parts.
That is precisely why the STK 400 is equipped
with a non-stop protection system, which helps to protect the machine’s working
components whilst operating in challenging conditions.
An 89 cm diameter tyre roller with an offset
system completes the formation of the treated strip and prepares it for the
next stage of the process.
The Czajkowski STK 400 in Ukrainian fields
For the ‘Tekhno-Dvir’ team, it is important not
only to present Czajkowski technology, but also to demonstrate how it works
directly in the real-world conditions of Ukrainian farms.
That is why we carry out demonstration sowings
in various regions of Ukraine, work with different crops and field conditions,
and continue to monitor plant development after sowing.
The Czajkowski STK 400 is a technology that we
do not merely present, but demonstrate directly in Ukrainian fields.

action and the results of our Czajkowski STK 400 demonstration sowings, visit
