Speed selection for optimal performance from Manitou

Manitou has developed three speeds (up to 30 km/h) for its forklifts to meet different working conditions.

Forklifts typically operate in tight spaces where first gear (8 km/h) is required for precise maneuvers. For moving around the construction site, it is convenient to use the second gear (20 km/h). When you need more speed for long-distance travel, third gear up to 30 km/h is the best choice.

With three gears, the operator can choose the one that best suits his or her task: first for precise movements, second for moving between buildings, and third for road and long-distance driving.

However, not all Manitou telehandlers have only 3 gears. For example, the Manitou MLT-X 732, MLT-X 735 T LSU, MLT-X 741 T LSU and MLT-X 1035 LT LSU telehandlers have 4 gears with a maximum speed of 35 km/h.

The Manitou MLT-X 737-130 PS+ telehandler has as many as 6 gears and can travel at a speed of 40 km/h. The Manitou MLT-X 841-145 PS+ and MLT-X 1041-145 PS+L telehandlers have 5 gears and can move at a speed of 40 km/h.

For example, the Manitou MLT-X 741-140 V+ and MLT-X 961-160 V+ L telehandlers with CVT transmission have a speed of 40 km/h.
